About kit’s garden

Kits Garden was started in 2014 to grow and sell produce at the farmer markets. My great-grandparents bought this farm as a weekend place from Detroit and from one generation to another we have kept it in our family.

We used to have horses living in the barn, now only chickens. We keep about 40 hens for fresh eggs that can go outside in movable pens. In 2020, I became a certified Organic Farm.

I love the variety of seeds available for each vegetable. Green, yellow, purple bush beans, snap peas that are fat and sweet - you can eat the pod too! All the wonderful colors and shapes of tomatoes, sweet and spicy peppers, and lots of greens including curly and flat leaf kale, chard, spinach and lettuce.

NOW OPEN! Our 15-week CSA program rewards you with a weekly selection of fresh vegetables and herbs from our gardens. Harvest Box CSA shares can be picked up at the farm or one of the farmers markets we attend.
